Sometimes the troubles of the world can feel so overwhelming. So what do we do? How do we act in a world that seems to have gone made?
Recently, I’ve learned that being in control is different than being in charge. Control can easily be flipped against you. Instead of being empowering, it can become choking and suffocating. But there is a better way!
“Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” – Matthew 11:28 (NKJV). Jesus is the source of rest. Perfect rest. Complete rest. Trust him to repair and restore what you cannot.
It seems like every headline is so bleak and fear is rampant. So, where do we find hope? What truth can we cling to right now in the midst of such uncertainty? For me, it’s where I’ve always found hope and solace: the truth of God’s Word.
Where do we find truth? What we believe shapes everything about ourselves, about our world, about our community. So how do we know we’re on the right path?
